Innovative DJ Experience on DART
In an unexpected twist to enhance the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) experience, two local DJs will perform live during a special ride on January 24. This event, dubbed the Techno Train, will take place on the Orange Line, coinciding with the Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers game. Riders can enjoy a unique atmosphere as DJs Sober and 13lackbeard compete in a rail car from 6?7 p.m.
Inspired by a popular German pop-up club concept, this initiative aims to attract more riders and emphasize the value of public transit amid ongoing discussions about DART's future. With several member cities contemplating their contracts, DART is seeking innovative ways to maintain ridership. The first 60 attendees will receive exclusive invitations to a game watch party, while 250 riders can attend a private after-party.
With a day-pass priced at $6, this event offers an affordable alternative to parking near the American Airlines Center. As DART adapts to challenges, this creative approach may just redefine public transit experiences in Dallas.
Train Dallas Concert reviews
An Amazing Concert- Must See
I have been listening to Train since the "Hey, Soul Sister" days when I was a wee lad. Hearing that song on the radio and remembering belting it out with my mom was nostalgic, but being able to sing it live with the band was amazing, along with all their other hits like "Drive By," "Drops of Jupiter," and more. Train really delivered a great performance, and the musicianship was outstanding. Pat made a joke about Joe Keery playing the guitar with them, but the regular guitarist for Train looks just like him, not sure why people believed him. Sure they don't have the deepest lyrics, but the energy of the band on stage really outdid any of that. They are tight, and play well together despite a bit of a carousel of members going around. They are the sixth concert I have been to in the last year, and I would put them near the top of the list. I actually forgot how many hit songs they had, and this concert brought it all back. My mom has been going to concerts since the early 1980's, has seen acts like Prince, Queen and U2 said that Train was in her top five concerts ever. 10/10 would see them again, and recommend them to anyone, even if you only know "Hey, Soul Sister."
